Build a team to help you!

Decide on 3 jobs that you could do effectively with little or no training based on your past career achievements. The three jobs could be:

  • Based on your past experience

  • A junior position in your field

  • A job is related your past profession that leverages your past experience

Having focused resume's that refer to your past work history will help people place you in a job that you are most likely to succeed in.

Action items that work

  1. Create 3 resumes that include all your past career experience.

  2. Create a profile on Indeed.ca and create job alerts for your 3 job preferences.

  3. Search LinkedIn for jobs in your profession. (i.e. Project Manager - in jobs).

  4. Volunteer as an assistant in your field of endeavor.

  5. Attend the religious organization of your faith. Join an activity after service to meet people in a more meaningful way.

  6. Become active in your community:

    1. Volunteer at a fundraiser or a business that you've worked in before

    2. Help in community support programs

    3. Enroll your children in sports (Is hockey too expensive? Try indoor soccer, it's a great way to get through the winter months at a fraction of the cost. Chances are that someone is carpooling to the games too.)
